Abstract
In this paper, a novel algorithm for correcting the error of attitude in inertial navigation systems is introduced. Since the oftenly used differential equations of the navigation errors show the small rotation angles instead of the error of Euler angles, the nonlinear equation between the small rotation angles and the error of Euler angles, are derived. To obtain an approximative solution for the derived equations, third order multiplication of the small rotation angles are ignored and error of Euler angles are expressed explicitly as functions of the Euler angles and the small rotation angles. Abstract
MIMO (Mulitple Input Multiple Output) localization has attracted much attention recently. In such schemes, using multiple antennas at transmitter and receiver sides provides spatial diversity. On the other hand, Passive Coherent Location (PCL) by using the illuminators of opportunity (such as FM, GSM, DVB transmitters) has shown a number of advantages. In this paper, we explore the possibility of achieving diversity gain by using multiple non-cooperative transmitters. In earlier works on MIMO localization, cooperative transmitters were assumed, so that orthogonality between transmitted waveforms could be granted. Abstract
This paper proposes a new method of estimating an orthogonal bounded spectrum wavelet from a given signal. The method is based on minimizing the distance of the wavelet and the given signal in the sense of the metric of the L2 space. In this method, the amplitude and phase of the mother wavelet are optimized simultaneously. The Lagrange multipliers technique is applied to consider the constraints due to the bounded spectrum wavelet and orthogonality conditions. Abstract
Chatter vibration is a major cause of limitations in increasing material removal rate in machining. Machining chatter is caused by the interaction between tool and work-piece. Various nonlinear phenomena in the machining process affect the occurrence of chatter. Finite element simulation of chip formation allows for incorporation of various factors in the chip formation process.
