    Abstract
Background: Osteoporosis is one of the most common bone system diseases that is associated with an increased risk of bone fractures and causes many complications for patients. With age, the prevalence of this disease increases so that it has become a serious problem among the elders. In this study, the prevalence of osteoporosis among elders around the world is examined to gain an understanding of its prevalence pattern. Methods: In this systematic review and meta-analysis, articles that have focused on prevalence of osteoporosis in the world’s elders were searched with these key words, such as Prevalence, Osteoporosis, Elders, Older adult in the Science Direct, Embase, Scopus, PubMed, Web...

Design and Analysis a Robot for Hand’s weight Balancing and Tremor Improvement

    Abstract
All humanare subject to a physiligical phenomenon known as tremor, which introduces unintended, relatively high frequency movments into various limbs. This involuntary movment is main reason of human disability in doing of precision tasks. Precision surgery like eye surgery is among them that surgeons must have very ittle tremor to enable them to oprate on the small anatomy of the eye. In this reaearch by emphasizing on reduction of muscle fatigue in precision surgery, weight balancing mechanism designed and analyzed. Fatigue is most important cause of tremor, thus we expected tremor amplitude reduce by reduction of muscle fatigue. Purpose mechanism is passive mechanism that balances the...

    Abstract
Targeted delivery by either passive or active targeting of therapeutics to the bone is an attractive treatment for various bone related diseases such as osteoporosis, osteosarcoma, multiple myeloma, and metastatic bone tumors. Engineering novel drug delivery carriers can increase therapeutic efficacy and minimize the risk of side effects. Developmnet of nanocarrier delivery systems is an interesting field of ongoing studies with opportunities to provide more effective therapies. In addition, preclinical nanomedicine research can open new opportunities for preclinical bone-targeted drug delivery; nevertheless, further research is needed to progress these therapies towards clinical...

An analytical approach to study the intraoperative fractures of femoral shaft during total hip arthroplasty

    Abstract
An analytical approach which is popular in micromechanical studies has been extended to the solution for the interference fit problem of the femoral stem in cementless total hip arthroplasty (THA). The multiple inhomogeneity problem of THA in transverse plane, including an elliptical stem, a cortical wall, and a cancellous layer interface, was formulated using the equivalent inclusion method (EIM) to obtain the induced interference elastic fields. Results indicated a maximum interference fit of about 210 μm before bone fracture, predicted based on the Drucker-Prager criterion for a partially reamed section. The cancellous layer had a significant effect on reducing the hoop stresses in the...
