    , Article Talanta ; Vol. 128, issue , 2014 , Pages 231-236 ; ISSN: 00399140 Es-Haghi, A ; Baghernejad, M ; Bagheri, H ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
Sol-gel based solid-phase microextraction fibers supported by a stainless steel wire were fabricated and employed for GC-MS determination of oxadiargyl in real samples. The fibers were based on four compounds with different polarity: polar and non-polar (end-capped) poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and poly(ethylene-propyleneglycol)-monobutyl ether (UCON). For this purpose, the surface of the stainless steel was initially modified by (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane. The results of the modification procedure were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. After the modification, four different sol-gel based SPME fibers with...

Fe3O4 Nano Particle-Based Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction of Oxadiargy1 and Fluoxetine from Aquatic and Biological Media

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zandi, Omid (Author) ; Bagheri, Habib (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In this study new magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) methods based on Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) for extraction and preconcentration of oxadiargyl and fuoxetine from aqueous and biological samples were developed. In the first work, Fe3O4 NPs was successfully used as a magnetic nano-sorbent in magnetic micro-solid phase extraction (M-µ-SPE) of oxadiargyl, a newly used pesticide, from environmental water samples prior to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry determination. Oxadiargyl in mild acidic condition has tendency to be adsorbed on Fe3O4 NPs surfaces. Most important parameters that affect the extraction efficiency were also studied. Under optimized condition, the proposed...

Analysis of Phenol in Occupational Air Oxadiargyl in Plant and Soil Samples by Solid Phase Microextraction in Combination with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Bagherbejad, Masoud (Author) ; Bagheri, Habib (Supervisor) ; Eshaghi, Ali (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In this study different kinds of solid phase microextraction fibers based on sol-gel technology were employed for extraction and pre-concentration of phenol in occupational air and oxadiargyl in plant and environmental samples. In the first work, a SPME method followed by on-fiber derivatization and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry detection (GC-MS) was developed for the analysis of phenol in the air. The application and feasibility of three different sol-gel based SPME fibers with different polarities, polar and non-polar poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and polyethylene glycol (PEG), have been studied. Influential parameters such as fiber coating type, type of derivatization reagent,...

Magnetic nanoparticle-based micro-solid phase extraction and GC-MS determination of oxadiargyl in aqueous samples

    , Article Chromatographia ; Volume 74, Issue 5-6 , 2011 , Pages 483-488 ; 00095893 (ISSN) Bagheri, H ; Zandi, O ; Aghakhani, A ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
A new facile, rapid, inexpensive, and sensitive method based on magnetic micro-solid phase extraction (M-μ-SPE) coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was developed for determination of the herbicide oxadiargyl in environmental water samples. The feasibility of employing non-modified magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) as sorbent was examined and applied to perform the extraction process. Influential parameters affecting the extraction efficiency along with desorption conditions were investigated and optimized. The limit of detection (LOD, S/N = 3) and limit of quantification (LOQ, S/N = 10) of the method under optimized conditions were 0.005 and 0.030 ng mL-1, respectively. The...
