    Abstract
Inspired by the paper [1] we develop a non-equilibrium statistical mechanics for graph homomorphisms, which can be considered as a generalization of several other Markov processes including Ising and parallel Hopfield models. We then apply the theory for the special case of homo-morphisms between rings with N nodes and derive the associated classical Lagrangian in the large N limit

    Abstract
The use of manipulators in space missions has become popular, as their applications can be extended to various space missions such as on-orbit servicing, assembly, and debris removal. Due to space reachability limitations, such robots must accomplish their tasks in space autonomously and under severe operating conditions such as the occurrence of faults or uncertainties. For robots and manipulators used in space missions, this paper provides a unique, robust control technique based on Model Predictive Path Integral Control (MPPI). The proposed algorithm, named Planner-Estimator MPPI (PE-MPPI), comprises a planner and an estimator. The planner controls a system, while the estimator modifies...

    Abstract
This paper presents a simulation-based optimization approach for railway timetabling, which is made interesting by the need for trains to stop periodically to allow passengers to pray. The developed framework is based on integration of a simulation model and an evolutionary path re-linking algorithm with the capability of scheduling trains, subject to the capacity constraints in order to minimize the total waiting times. A customized deadlock avoidance method has been developed which is based on a conditional capacity allocation. The proposed look-ahead deadlock avoidance approach is effective and easy to implement in the simulation model. A case study of the Iranian Railway (RAI) is...
