Abstract
As contemporary digital systems specifically embedded systems become more and more complex, taking advantage of system-level design is being more widespread. Many embedded systems must operate under strict timing constraints. One of the best methods for examining timing constraints in an embedded system can be done via the performance verification. In this paper an assertion-based verification methodology has been proposed for verifying system-level timing constraints in an embedded system. Performance assertions are specified by an assertion language at the transaction-level of abstraction. A Turing machine and a structure named performance evaluator have been coupled to provide a...

Abstract
With proliferation of single-phase rooftop photovoltaic (PV) panels, phase balancing in low voltage (LV) distribution feeders becomes the point of concern. In this way, identification of the hosting phase of connected single-phase customers and PV panels is a prerequisite. This paper proposes an optimization model for the phase identification problem. The objective is to minimize the summation of the absolute error between estimated and measured variables. Smart meters (SMs) data including active and reactive power absorptions/injections, nodal voltage magnitudes, and network configuration data form the input of the model. Potential errors in the input data are captured in the model while...

Abstract
Interior permanent magnet (IPM) bearingless motors are becoming a good choice for high-speed applications. In these motors, reducing the thickness of the PM leads to the increase of the radial forces which affects the demagnetizing fields. Various types of PM motors have so far been recommended for enhancement of the radial forces and torque. In the proposed IPM motor the d-axis flux-linkage and the q-axis torque component are raised due to the armature reaction and this saturates the stator teeth. In addition, the magnetic attraction force generated by displacement force depends on the armature reaction. The mathematical model of IPM bearingless motor based on the dq transformation,...
