    Abstract
    In this paper we consider a newsvendor problem in which the suppliers offer quantity discounts. We assume that the initial inventory at the beginning of the period is a random variable. This assumption, among other applications, may apply to the case where the decision about the order quantity must be made at a time long before the start of the period and the available inventory may decrease due to several factors, such as deterioration, consumption, etc. up to the start of the period. In this paper, we obtain the optimal order quantity that maximizes the total profit for this model

    Abstract
    In this paper, we present a very fast and accurate technique to estimate the soft error rate of digital circuits in the presence of Multiple Event Transients (METs). In the proposed technique, called Multiple Event Probability Propagation (MEPP), a four-value logic and probability set are used to accurately propagate the effects of multiple erroneous values (transients) due to METs to the outputs and obtain soft error rate. MEPP considers a unified treatment of all three masking mechanisms i.e., logical, electrical, and timing, while propagating the transient glitches.     Abstract
    In this paper, we propose a two-phase approach to find the optimal solutions of a class of fuzzy linear programming problems called fully fuzzified linear programming (FFLP), where all decision parameters and variables are fuzzy numbers. Our approach is constructed on the basis of comparison of mean and standard deviation of fuzzy numbers. In this approach, the first phase maximizes the possibilistic mean value of fuzzy objective function and obtains a set of feasible solutions.     Abstract
    The optimum convolution of dual short pulse for producing the maximum wakefield and the highest dissociation probability of CH4 has been investigated. By using three fundamental shapes of pulses though four different arrangements, the generated wake are considered in plasma. It is found that when the first and second pulses were rectangular-triangular and sinusoidal pulse shapes, respectively, the resultant wakefield amplitude is the highest.     In this paper, we study the degrees of freedom (DoF) region and sum DoF of the time-selective K-user interference channel in the presence of intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs). We consider both active and passive IRSs. While both types of IRS can attenuate the amplitude and change the phase of a reflected electromagnetic wave, active IRSs are also capable of amplifying the wave.
