    Abstract
In this paper, we propose a general mobility model suitable for wireless multimedia networks. Our model is based on splitting a region into subregions. Furthermore, we make an analogy between subregions as well as their inter-connections with a multi-class Jackson queueing network comprising of infinite-server nodes. The main attribute of such a network is due to its product-form stationary distribution. Using this model, we are able to obtain a closed analytical form for the spatial traffic distribution corresponding to a specific number of network-connected users with different classes of service and mobility in a typical region. Also, we show the flexibility obtained by the proposed...

    Abstract
We consider M/M/1/∞ systems with inventory in which completing each service in the queueing system requires an on-hand inventory. Continuous review (r, Q) policy is considered for the inventory system, and lead times are assumed to be mixed exponentially distributed. During stockout, arriving demands get rejected from the queue and become lost (lost sale situation). We derive stationary distribution of product form of joint queue length and on-hand inventory. The resulting distribution is employed to compute performance measures which can be used to derive the optimal policy. Optimal order size for predetermined reorder policy is initially determined and finally, optimal reorder point and...

    Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the effect of applying leaky bucket as a well known traffic shaper on data users in a variable spreading gain CDMA (VSG-CDMA) uplink wireless cellular network. To this end, we model the effect of leaky bucket mechanism on a typical data user, with a closed product form queueing network. Each node in this queueing network corresponds to a specific processing gain or equivalently transmission rate and power. By solving such a queueing network we obtain the steady state probability with which a typical data user will exist at each node. By aggregating the effects of all data users we compute the mean and variance of interference and obtain the throughput and average...
