    Abstract
    Bacterial populations are promising candidates for the development of the receiver and transmitter nanomachines for molecular communication (MC). A bacterial receiver is required to uptake the information molecules and produce the detectable molecules following a regulation mechanism. We have constructed a novel bacterial MC receiver using an inducible bacterial L-rhamnose-regulating operon. The proposed bacterial receiver produces green fluorescent protein (GFP) in response to the L-rhamnose information molecules following a quite fast regulation mechanism.     Abstract
    Quorum Sensing is a cell-to-cell communication pr°Cess depending on cell concentration. Communication among bacterial cells °Ccurs through small molecular signals called autoinducers. The consequences of quorum sensing include the activation of pathogenic properties and activation of the gene for biofilm formation. Biofilms are aggregations of bacteria that adhere to surfaces through extracellular polymeric substances.     Abstract
    Rhamnolipids (RLs) produced by the opportunistic human pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa are considered as potential candidates for the next generation of surfactants. Large-scale production of RLs depends on progress in strain engineering, medium design, operating strategies, and purification procedures. In this work, the rhlAB genes extracted from a mono-RLs-producing strain of P. aeruginosa (ATCC 9027) were introduced to an appropriate safety host Pseudomonas putida KT2440.
