Developing A Qualitative Model For Evaluation Of Effectiveness Of R&D Projects

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Mirzaie, Ali (Author) ; Kermavshah, Ali (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Globalization and high rate development in all categories of scientific fields have become a very substantial motive to make effort in R&D affairs all over the world. Therefore, the high volume of investment in this area and Also the importance and urgency of R&D according to economical development statistics and its mutual and close relation with it specially in context of Iran, it is necessary to establish an effective tool to recognize gaps and bugs of subsystems working in the area using high volume investment so as to improve the position of each section of the total body of industry in this regard.

Providing a Project Management Methodology for Research Projects

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Masafinia, Farshad (Author) ; Shadrokh, Shahram (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In this thesis a project management methodology for research projects is presented. Generally, implementing research projects is so complicated because of uncertain attributes of this type of projects. So far, no project management methodology has been developed for research projects. In this thesis first, the main attributes of research projects are identified by considering research projects problems in some organizations. The consideration involves studying documents of research projects, interviewing with project managers, using questionnaires and applying statistical analyses. Then, stakeholders’ expectations of a research project methodology are recognized and characteristics of the...

Comparison between different multi-objective approaches to distribution network planning

    , Article IET Conference Publications ; Volume 2013, Issue 615 CP , 2013 ; 9781849197328 (ISBN) Haji, A ; Eini, B. J ; Mirvazand, M ; Safari, M ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Distribution companies try to meet different goals such as increasing profitability, reducing investment and improving reliability indices. Therefore, distribution network planning has converted into complex multi-objective optimization problems. Mathematicians and operation research experts have developed many methods which can be used for solving these problems. Despite all efforts to develop applicable approaches for these problems, there is still no general consensus on project selection policy. Evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each network optimization strategy selection in pragmatic manner is the objective of current research. In this paper, many methods used in network...

Experimental and analytical studies on the prediction of forming limit diagrams

    , Article Computational Materials Science ; Volume 44, Issue 4 , 2009 , Pages 1252-1257 ; 09270256 (ISSN) Ahmadi, S ; Eivani, A. R ; Akbarzadeh, A ; Sharif University of Technology
    2009
    Abstract
Metal forming processes are widely used in industrial productions, automobile bodies, food industries, oil refineries, and liquid and gas transmission systems. Analyzing these processes is very important to reduce wastes and optimize the processes. Study of some main factors such as physical and mechanical properties of material and its formability, die geometry, die material, lubrication and pressing speed has been the topic of many research projects. In this paper, forming limit diagrams (FLDs) for LC and ULC steels and the effect of different parameters like the work-hardening exponent, n, and the plastic strain ratio, r, on these diagrams have been evaluated and simulated using...
