    Abstract
A heterogeneous nanocatalyst containing polyoxomolybdate immobilized on the internal surface of amino-functionalized SBA-15 pores was prepared and fully characterized by several analytical techniques. The textural property of supported material was found to retain important mesoporous features, compatible with its potential use as heterogeneous catalysts. The catalyst SBA-15-NH3+•{Mo36}–shows excellent catalytic activity for the epoxidation of alkenes as compared to POM, which is attributed to the large specific surface area and highly ordered pore structure of SBA-15, allowing for easy access of reactants to the active sites and removal of products. The prepared catalyst has high...

    Abstract
In this work, a new catalyst based on palladium nanoparticle supported SBA-15 has been introduced. The designed catalyst was characterized by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area analysis, thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) analyses. For the first time, phenyltetrazole has been used as a ligand to the functionalization of SBA-15 to design robust heterogeneous catalyst with high-loading metal for reduction and oxidation in short time using a low amount of the catalyst. © 2018...

    Abstract
The carbon dioxide (CO2) separation can be enhanced by using modified materials like a deep eutectic solvent (DES) modified mesoporous silica SBA-15 in polymeric support i.e polysulfone via mixed matrix membranes (MMMs). The pure SBA-15 and DES are potential candidates for the CO2 capturing and their combination has not been reported yet. In this work, a fresh DES was synthesized by combining equal concentrations of Decanoic acid and choline chloride by mass. MMMs were fabricated by DES functionalized SBA-15 (DES-SBA) filler. The DES-SBA-based polymeric MMMs of different compositions, from 5% to 20% with the difference of five each, were developed and subjected to the gas permeation analysis...

    , Article Catalysis Communications ; Volume 88 , 2017 , Pages 9-12 ; 15667367 (ISSN) Zare, M ; Moradi Shoeili, Z ; Ashouri, F ; Bagherzadeh, M ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
Heterogeneous nanoscale catalyst was successfully synthesized via anchoring of oxoperoxo molybdenum(VI) complex on the chloro-functionalized SBA-15. The mesoporous nanomaterials, MoO3(sal-phz)/SBA-15 (where sal-phz is salicylidene 2-picoloyl hydrazine) were identified by several characterization techniques. MoO3(sal-phz)/SBA-15 and MoO3(sal-phz) were also treated as catalysts in the olefins epoxidation reactions. Both homogenous and heterogeneous catalysts exhibit outstanding activity and selectivity for epoxide with tert-BuOOH in decane as oxidant at 95 °C. In addition, the heterogeneous nanocatalyst was chemically stable and can be efficiently reused for at least six cycles without a...

SBA-15-supported Cu (II)/Schiff-base complex as an efficient and recyclable catalyst for one-pot azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction

    Abstract
A new complex of copper (II) was synthesized through the reaction of a Schiff-base, 4-(((2-hydroxyethyl)imino)methyl)phenol, with CuCl2·2H2O and, then, immobilization on SBA-15 support. Both immobilized and free copper complexes were characterized using different techniques such as FT-IR, elemental analysis (CHN), SEM, XRD and TEM, and were utilized as catalysts in one-pot azide-alkyne cycloaddition (AAC) reaction. Both catalysts showed high activity in conversion of various substrates to corresponding triazole compounds. The reaction was performed in water under mild condition and without any extra additives. The prepared catalyst was recovered and reused in 5 runs without any significant...

    , Article Catalysis Communications ; Volume 59 , January , 2014 , Pages 122-126 ; 15667367 (ISSN) Rajabi, F ; Raessi, M ; Arancon, R. A. D ; Saidi, M. R ; Luque, R ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Co/SBA-15 nanoparticle catalysts (CoNP) were prepared using a commonly adapted synthetic route and then utilised for esterification and amidation reactions using aromatic and linear chain compounds for the production of long chain esters and amides. The study shows that the use of CoNP catalysts favours the use of aromatic reactants with electron donating substituents specifically in the para position. For the amidation reaction, good to excellent yields were obtained demonstrating tolerance towards differently substituted aromatic compounds. Overall, the synthesized catalysts proved to be efficient and highly versatile, and recyclable under the investigated conditions

    Abstract
One of the common methods used for treatment of gaseous radioactive wastes in nuclear waste management is adsorption process. Nanoporous materials have found great utility as sorption media because of their large internal surface area and more adsorption sites than other adsorbents, which caused the increasing attention of researchers to use them in the nuclear waste management. Hence in this study, the surface of nanoporous silicates of SBA-15 and MCM-41 modified with d-block elements of the periodic table such as silver, copper, zinc and nickel by wet impregnation method. After characterization by different techniques such as X-ray diffraction, nitrogen gas porosimetry, Fourier...

    Abstract
Molybdenum(VI)–oxodiperoxo complex containing an oxazine ligand, ([MoO(O2)2(phox)], phox: 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)-5,6-dihydro-1,3-oxazine) was conveniently synthesized and immobilized onto chloro-functionalized mesoporous silica SBA-15 by covalent bonding between the chloropropyl group on the internal surface of the pores and the nitrogen atom of oxazine ligand yielding [MoO(O2)2(phox)]/SBA-15. The resulting material was characterized by FT-IR, TGA, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDX, ICP-AES, BET and UV–vis spectroscopy. The heterogeneous catalyst [MoO(O2)2(phox)]/SBA-15 was employed in the epoxidation of alkenes, exhibiting high catalytic performance and selectivity for epoxide similar to that of homogeneous...

    Abstract
VO2(picolinichydrazone) complex as a catalyst was stabilized on a SBA-15 mesoporous silica as a catalytic support by using (3-chloropropyl)triethoxysilane as a connector. SBA-15 is nanoporous and has a high ratio of surface area to volume. The immobilization of a metal–Schiff base complex to the surface area of SBA-15 can improve its catalytic effects by increasing the catalytic surface area. Unlike homogeneous catalysts, heterogeneous catalysts can be recovered and reused several times without any significant loss of catalytic activity. A vanadium–Schiff base complex-functionalized SBA-15 was synthesized by covalency connected by a pre-synthesised VO2(picolinichydrazone) complex to...

    Abstract
The reaction of the functionalized mesoporous SBA-15 in absolute ethanol with copper (II) acetate afforded a novel CuII-Schiff base/SBA-15 catalyst.
