Due to the increasing number of research activities across the world,the academic societies are in the urgent need of appropriate criteria and methods for the evaluation of scientific publications. The term ‘Scientometrics’ has been coined to describe the methodology of aforementioned scientific assessment. Introduction of comprehensive and universal scientific rankings could provide inexperienced researchers with the opportunity to select most qualified publications for their literature reviews on the basis of such rankings. Scientific collaboration and the resulting outputs have been always of interest to the scientific community. Specifically, drawing and understanding the elements of scientific collaboration network and identifying its determinants are important step in prescribing and implementing policies in various fields and disciplines of science.
