Abstract
— In this study probabilistic seismic hazard analysis is carried out for Rasht province, a city located in IRAN, and assessment of probable Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) and uniform hazard spectra (UHS) for two levels of hazard are presented. Achieving this goal, seismic catalogues of all historical instrumentally recorded earthquakes since 4 th century BC up to 2018, in a radius of 200 km around Rasht city, has been gathered and processed for elimination of the aftershocks and foreshocks from main occurrences list and then the seismicity parameters have been obtained by Kijko [2000] method. In order to determine the PGA over bedrock, tree different attenuation relationships of Sadigh et...

Abstract
Estimation of damage to structures after severe earthquakes is important for loss estimation and is an essential step for rescue program. Using seismic or spectral parameters could be a quick method for this purpose. In this article damage estimation for some world's destructive earthquakes has been carried out. For this purpose some earthquake seismic parameters, response spectra and damage indices have been calculated and compared. Damage indices are calculated for three types of intermediate sway concrete frame buildings, i.e. low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise, designed according to Iranian Seismic Code and ACI 318-95. Finally the trend between earthquake seismic parameters, response...

Abstract
Various durations of Endurance Time Acceleration Functions (ETAFs) associated with different seismic hazard levels are presented to enable Endurance Time (ET) method for use in probabilistic seismic demand assessment studies. Various Intensity Measures (IMs) were, first, considered for establishing multiple "IM-duration" relationships. A set of 30 RC moment resisting frames were, then, subjected to IDA analysis using 44 ground motion records and the median IM values corresponding to different structural response levels were extracted. These values were compared with the ET-derived IMs by computing the errors corresponding to various demand levels and summating these errors over a complete...

Abstract
Steel plate shear walls (SPSWs) have shown a desirable performance in experimental studies and past earthquakes. The advantages of the SPSW and its good performance against lateral loads persuade designers to utilize the system in their practical projects. Some important aspects of the SPSW have remained unknown in spite of valuable experimental and numerical studies. One of these unknown characteristics is the effect of cracks on the SPSW behavior. Several experimental studies have reported fracture in SPSW due to crack propagation during testing, but the experimental studies have not investigated the crack effect. Due to low thickness of steel plate and inherence of crack, the crack...
