In this study a system for real-time analysis of some involving factors in the efficiency of gas-liquid separators is developed based on the weighing method. An ultrasonic atomizer generates water drops in a size range of 1-10 μm with the same frequency during the test. A cyclone separator is selected and effect of the developing flow rate and shape of the mini-riser as a part of connecting assembly to the cyclone separator is investigated. Further an efficient electrostatic precipitator (ESP) with outcome of single-phase airflow is employed in the downstream of the cyclone to separate remaining droplets and produce the same pressure loss during the test. Circular, triangular, rectangular...

The main challenge in many applications of acetic acid is acid dehydration and its recovery from wastewater streams. Therefore, the performance of polyamide thin film composite is evaluated to separate acetic acid from water. To reach this goal, the formation of polyamide layer on polysulfone support membrane was investigated via interfacial polymerization (IP) of meta-phenylenediamine (MPD) in water with trimesoyl chloride (TMC) in hexane. Also, the effect of synthesis conditions, such as concentration of monomers and curing temperature on separation of acetic acid from water were investigated by reverse osmosis process. Moreover, the separation mechanism was discussed. The solute...
Application of ANFIS-GA algorithm for forecasting oil flocculated asphaltene weight percentage in different operation conditions, Article Petroleum Science and Technology ; Volume 36, Issue 12 , 2018 , Pages 862-868 ; 10916466 (ISSN) ; Soltani Soulgani, B ; Bemani, A ; Sharif University of Technology

Asphaltene which cover range of 1% to over 10% of oil by weight, is well-known as most problematic part of oil that can deposit during production in reservoir, well tubing, and surface production lines, and consequently impose a serious restriction on production which in turn increases total cost of entire operation. Through decades an extensive research has been performed in order to identify asphaltene molecular structure, its behavior at different condition, and its separation mechanism from oil. One of most critical parameter associated with asphaltene precipitation modeling is flocculated asphaltene weight percentage in oil at given operation condition. In this study, to eliminate cost...
