Abstract
In this research, Ag-Al2O3 nanostructures have been prepared via combustion synthesis and ammonium acetate and urea have been applied as fuels. The prepared Ag-Al2O3 nanostructures were characterized by DTA, XRD, SEM, TEM, and BET spectroscopy. The effect of different ratios of silver to alumina and fuel percentage on morphology and particle size of prepared products were investigated. The results showed that using ammonium acetate fuel led to the production of Ag-γ-Al2O3 nanocompounds, while using urea produced Ag-α-Al2O3. Also, the photocatalytic activity of Ag-Al2O3 nanostructures for Congo red degradation was evaluated by UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The photocatalytic...

Abstract
We have investigated the surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy (SERRS) for 4,4′-diaminotolane absorbed on silver experimentally and theoretically. Experimental observation shows greatly enhanced bg symmetric modes ν26 and ν27, which are silent in normal Raman spectroscopy and SERS on gold. The dependence of the surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) spectra on five excitation lines has also been registered and classified for single bands into three profiles referring to the different contributions of resonant transitions. Theoretical calculations based on the time-dependent path integral formalism by including the Herzberg-Teller correction reproduce the experimental spectra with...

Abstract
Development of simple yet precise sensing platforms for rapid determination of biological species and drugs is of paramount importance, not only for analysis of pharmaceutical formulations during the production stage, but also in clinical practices and medical diagnosis. In the present research, we report on the electrochemical determination of atorvastatin (ATOR) by using silver nanowires/gold-modified glassy carbon electrode (Ag NWs/Au/GCE). The modified electrode was constructed through a two-step procedure in which narrow silver nanowires synthesized via a polyol method are drop casted on a pre-modified GCE with electrodeposited gold particles. The results of XRD analysis indicated the...

Abstract
The heterogeneous environmentally friendly catalyst and photocatalyst based on Ag, Pt, Ag–Pt nanoparticles (NPs) loading on the γ-Fe2O3/CuO nanocomposite which was derived from Fe-metal organic framework (Fe-MIL-88B) and Cu-metal organic framework (Cu (tpa)) was introduced. The catalytic and photocatalytic activities of Ag–Pt loading on the γ-Fe2O3/CuO nanocomposite were performed for a reduction process (4-nitrophenol (4-Nip) to 4-aminophenol (4-Amp)), and decomposition organic dyes (AB92, MB) in the LED light. Metal-organic framework (MOFs) composed with inorganic and organic linker which used as suitable precursors to obtain different type of nanostructures for environmental applications....

Abstract
A new photocatalytic filtration membrane was prepared by grafting of Ag–Au bi-plasmonic shell-on TiO2@Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a magnetically-separable heterogeneous photocatalyst to a poly acrylic acid-modified cellulose acetate membrane for decomposition and removal of methyl orange as a model pollutant from textile wastewater samples. Eight photocatalysts including five Au NPs-modified TiO2@Fe3O4 NPs and three Ag-Au bi-plasmonic NPs-decorated TiO2@Fe3O4 NPs with different shell thickness were synthesized and characterized by TEM, UV–vis, and SEM techniques and their photocatalytic activity was assessed using two radiation sources. After selection of optimum photocatalyst and modification of...
