    Abstract
    The influence of solution treatment on precipitation behavior of AEREX™350 was investigated using hardness testing, TEM and SEM. Samples were solution treated at 1050°C and 1075°C for 1 hr and then aged at 700°C, 750°C and 800°C for 1,2,4,8 and 25 hrs. It was found that different solution treatment may be used for different applications of AEREX™350

    Abstract
    In the present study, multistage strain aging phenomenon using rolling pre-strain and solution treatment at 680℃ for 40 min was used to study the effect of temperature and inter-pass time (IPT) on the static strain aging behavior of a low carbon steel sheet. The increase in hardness and strength caused by work hardening and the aging at each pass were separately calculated.The samples were rolled and subjected to aging process both in a single pass of 20% rolling reduction in thickness and in four stages consisted of 5% reduction at each stage.     Abstract
    The present study investigates the evolution of γ′ precipitate microstructure in a creep damaged IN738LC superalloy during different stages of rejuvenation heat treatment cycles. Dissolution of coarsened γ′ precipitates in the creep damaged alloy occurred during different solution treatments. The precipitates that did not dissolve completely during solution treatment and those formed during subsequent cooling were considered to be as remnant and cooling precipitates respectively. It was found that higher solution treatment temperatures result in lower volume fraction of remnant precipitates and further formation of cooling precipitates.     Abstract
    The age-hardening behavior and microstructure of selected samples of a Ni-Co alloy were studied using hardness testing, optical microscopy, and scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The final microstructure of the material was found to be sensitive to the temperature of the solution treatment.     The effects of initial heat treatments, i.e. solution treating and over ageing, on deformation behavior of an age hardenable Al-Cu-Mg alloy, including mechanical properties and texture evolution, during multi-directional forging (MDF) are investigated.     In this study nanostructured composite from Al1050 and Al2024 were manufactured via accumulative roll bonding (ARB). Process was conducted in two different ways. In one approach the Al2024 sheets were annealed and in the other they were solution treated (ST). The sheets were degreased by acetone and wire-brushed, and then one Al2024 was placed between two sheets of Al1050, so three pieces of sheets were stacked to be 3 mm in thickness. The stacked sheets were rollbonded to produce the primary composite sandwich with thickness of 1 mm.     In this study, the solution treatment of severely deformed AA 2024-O and its post-severe plastic deformation is investigated. The investigation was performed in two cases of pre-multi directional forging (pre-MDF) and post-multi directional forging (post-MDF) on the solution treatment. After applying pre-MDF, finding kinetics of temperature and solution time caused that natural aging to be studied as a treatment after solid solution.     In the present research the aging behavior of Al6061 alloy and Al6061/SiCp composite fabricated by powder metallurgy method was investigated. The solution treatment of the samples were carried out at 527°C for 2, 3and 4 h followed by aging at 180°C for different aging times between 1 and 10 h. The existence of SiC particles led to increasing the peak hardness of the composite.     In the present research work the 2024 aluminum alloy was reinforced with SiC particles via powder metallurgy method. The effect of heat treatment conditions on artificial aging kinetics was investigated. The solution treatment of the composite sample and the unreinforced alloy was carried out at 495 °C for 1, 2 and 3 h followed by aging at 191 °C for various aging times between 1 and 10 h.     In order to optimize the aging treatment of Mg-1.8Zn-0.7Si-0.4Ca alloy, different times and temperatures of solid solution and age hardening were applied to the alloy specimens.     The effects of zinc content (2 and 4 wt%), heat treatment (solution-Treated and T6), as well as hot deformation (extrusion and multi-directional forging (MDF)) on the microstructure, mechanical and degradation behavior of Mg-Zn alloys were studied.     The current study investigated the effect of heat treatment parameters, including solution treatment temperature (STT), time, and quench rate, on the microstructure, defects, and hardness of an Al-16Si-6Cu Shift fork die-cast alloy. The changes in primary silicon particle (PSP) features were examined quantitatively by optical microscopy, coupled with image analysis and SEM equipped with EDS. The biggest PSPs (27 ± 8 µm) and the highest area fraction (23%) were found in the sample solution treated at 470°C and cooled in the furnace.
