    Abstract
A series of new chlorido-tricarbonylrhenium(I) complexes bearing alkyl-substituted diazabutadiene (DAB) ligands, namely N,N′-bis(2,4-dimethylbenzene)-1,4-diazabutadiene (L1), N,N′-bis(2,4-dimethylbenzene)-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene (L2), N,N′-bis(2,4,6-trimethylbenzene)-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene (L3) and N,N′-bis(2,6-diisopropylbenzene)-1,4-diazabutadiene (L4), were synthesized and investigated. The crystal structures have been fully characterized by X-ray diffraction and spectroscopic methods. Density functional theory, natural bond orbital and non-covalent interaction index methods have been used to study the optimized geometry in the gas phase and intra-...

Novel Cu2O/Cu-MOF/rGO is reported as highly efficient catalyst for reduction of 4-nitrophenol

    Abstract
Cu-MOF/rGO nanocomposite was synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method and used as proper support for Cu2O particles. Various microscopic and spectroscopic methods were applied to characterize the morphology of Cu2O/Cu-MOF/rGO nanocatalyst. Catalytic results of 4-nitrophenol reduction in the presence of NaBH4 indicate that as-synthesized nanocomposite shown significant improved activity compared with pure Cu2O particles. Enhanced catalytic performance of nanocomposite can be ascribed to the high adsorption ability of Cu-MOF and effective electron transfer due to the presence of rGO. A possible mechanism was proposed for catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol over Cu2O/Cu-MOF/rGO. © 2019...

Preparation and characterization of novel Ag3VO4/Cu-MOF/rGO heterojunction for photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants

    , Article Materials Research Bulletin ; Volume 121 , 2020 Akbarzadeh, E ; Zare Soheili, H ; Hosseinifard, M ; Gholami, M. R ; Sharif University of Technology
    Elsevier Ltd  2020
    Abstract
Cu-based metal organic framework/rGO was used as an effective cocatalyst to synthesis novel Ag3VO4/Cu-MOF/rGO nanocomposite. The resulting photocatalysts were characterized by different microscopic and spectroscopic methods. The photocatalytic degradation studies on acid blue 92 showed that Ag3VO4/Cu-MOF/rGO nanocomposite indicated significant improved activity compared with pure Ag3VO4 and Cu-MOF/rGO. The improved photocatalytic activity of nanocomposite was attributed to the increased surface area and effective charge carrier separation and transport in the nanocomposite. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd

    Abstract
In the present work we obtained a series of NIR luminescent platinum(II) complexes with a pincer N^N^C ligand based on the conjugated {benzoimidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine} system with the [Pt(N^N^C)L]n+ structural motif (L = phosphine, alkynyl or pyridine-type ligands). We have also synthesized two complexes with bidentate phosphines that demonstrate different types of coordination: 1) as chelating ligand (in case of 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene), that led to de-coordination of pyridine ring of N^N^C ligand and formation of a [Pt(N^C)dppb]+ complex; 2) as a bridging ligand (in case of bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) between two {Pt(N^N^C)} fragments in a dimeric complex of type...

    Abstract
Naphthalimide derivatives provide highly versatile self-assembled systems and aggregated forms with fascinating emission properties that make them potential candidates for many applications such as bioimaging and sensing. Although various aggregated species of naphthalimide derivatives have been well documented, little is known about the correlation between their structure and photophysical properties. Here the preparation of a series of tetrameric naphthalimide molecules in which naphthalimide units are linked by bis-N-heterocyclic carbene complexes of coinage metals is described. An in-depth structural investigation into these tetramers has been carried out in solution and the solid state...

Mediator-less highly sensitive voltammetric detection of glutamate using glutamate dehydrogenase/vertically aligned CNTs grown on silicon substrate

    , Article Biosensors and Bioelectronics ; Volume 31, Issue 1 , 2012 , Pages 110-115 ; 09565663 (ISSN) Gholizadeh, A ; Shahrokhian, S ; Iraji zad, A ; Mohajerzadeh, S ; Vosoughi, M ; Darbari, S ; Sanaee, Z ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
A sensitive glutamate biosensor is prepared based on glutamate dehydrogenase/vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (GLDH, VACNTs). Vertically aligned carbon nanotubes were grown on a silicon substrate by direct current plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (DC-PECVD) method. The electrochemical behavior of the synthesized VACNTs was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic methods. Glutamate dehydrogenase covalently attached on tip of VACNTs. The electrochemical performance of the electrode for detection of glutamate was investigated by cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Differential pulse voltammetric determinations of glutamate are performed...
