Feature Extraction for Spoofing Detection in Automatic Speaker Verification Systems

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Adiban, Mohammad (Author) ; Sameti, Hossein (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Automatic speaker verification systems are becoming increasingly epidemic by the development of technology. The use of these systems in applications such as smart phones is becoming increasingly popular as a user password, and the security of these systems against spoofing attacks has always been a concern. In this research, the purpose is to comprehensively investigate all types of possible spoofing attacks on speaker verification systems and then provide a countermeasure system against such attacks. The countermeasure system presented in this report, extracts features from speech signals that can make the difference between the genuine and spoofed speech spectrum more prominent by...

A heuristic scheduling method for the pipe-spool fabrication process

    Abstract
The pipe-spool fabrication process is a critical operational section in the piping projects that usually used to accelerate and discipline the installation process, especially, when we have a particular deadline for the project. For this reason, the fast and optimal scheduling of the fabrication activities with considering the real conditions and using manual or traditional methods is a significant problem for the decision-makers. In this paper, we use a novel linear programming model to schedule the spool fabrication activities based on the flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP). Because FJSP is a challengeable NP-hard problem, we solve the proposed mathematical model with a heuristic...

Modeling and Sensitivity Analysis of a Sample Electro Hydraulic Servo Valve

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Nakhai, Amir Hassan (Author) ; Saadat Foumani, Mahmoud (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Servo control valves including pressure control valves and flow control valves are the main components of the hydraulic system. Since these valves are responsible for controlling the flow or pressure in hydraulic systems, are important. In the present study, we focus on modeling and sensitivity analysis of an electro-servo-hydraulic valve with two stages. The first stage mechanism is the seating type (flapper-nozzle) and the second stage mechanism is the sliding type (spool type). For simulation main components of the servo valve include torque motor, flapper, flow through the nozzle-flapper, flow through the orifice and flow through the valve spool and body separately have been modeled....

Simulation and experimental validation of flow-current characteristic of a sample hydraulic servo valve

    Abstract
This paper presents a novel model to simulate the flow-current characteristic curve of an electro-hydraulic servo valve in steady state condition. This characteristic curve has three major zones: dead zone, linear zone and saturation zone. By using the presented approach, we can simulate the behavior of all types of valves including under lapped, critical center (zero lapped) and over lapped valves. A hydraulic tester has been designed and constructed for validation of the results. It can test the performance of flow-current and some other properties of the valve. Comparison of experimental and simulated curves describes that the model has an acceptable accuracy in determining the four...
