Location and Allocation Problem with Environmental Regulations

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Mostajabdaveh, Mahdi (Author) ; Shavandi, Hassan (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In This article, we aimed to estimate impact of dual sourcing strategy on environmental implication and show how this strategy can ameliorate the emission of greenhouse gases. For this purpose, first we define comprehensive NLP models for splitting order problem with carbon emission cap and carbon emission Trade-Cap policy. Then customized sequential quadratic programming approach had been developed for solving these models. In addition, customized Genetic Algorithm validated this approach. Finally numerical results show that order splitting strategy cause to reduction in costs and emission at same time. Beside this outcome, we show the so-called Trade- Cap policy almost performs better than...

    Abstract
Supplier selection is an important and challenging problem in sustainable supply chain management. We propose a dynamic decision support system (DSS) for sustainable supplier selection in circular supply chains. Unlike the linear take-make-waste-dispose production systems, circular supply chains are nonlinear make-waste-recycle production systems with zero-waste vision. The proposed DSS allows users to customize and weight their economic, social, and circular criteria with a fuzzy best-worst method (BWM) and select the most suitable supplier with the fuzzy inference system (FIS). Machine learning is used to maintain and synthesize the criteria scores for the suppliers after each supplier...

    Abstract
Increasing rates of environmental and social concerns involved in various communities have recently attracted researchers’ attention to consider them in proper designs of sustainable supply chains (SSCs). In this paper, the planning problem of a multi-period multi-echelon sustainable closed loop supply chain (SCLSC) is investigated. A comprehensive model that seriously takes into account the social and environmental aspects of the supply chain (SC) decisions and measures their social and environmental effects using the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) guideline indicators is proposed. The proposed planning model includes tactical decisions comprising the price of the product and logistic...

Designing a Sustainable Supply Chain in Pistachio Industry

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Abbasian, Mahyar (Author) ; Haji, Alireza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Pistachio trade in Iran is of great importance in non-oil exports, and this country has been the main producer of this product for many years. In recent years, unfortunately, pistachio products have fallen sharply in the country, and on the other hand, the United States has been able to take a large share of the global market. The researchers have presented numerous reviews about the causes of this problem, most notably drought and water scarcity, inefficient agriculture, and the lack of comprehensive and efficient management of the pistachio supply chain. In this research, to address these problems, attention has been paid to sustainable supply chain management that addresses three...
