    Abstract
    The gravity currents on the inclined boundaries are formed when the inflow fluid has a density difference with the ambient fluid and a tangential component of gravity becomes the driving force. If the density difference arises from the suspended particles, the currents are known as particle-laden density currents, or turbidity currents in which the local density depends on the concentration of particles. A low Reynolds k- Turbulent model is used to simulate three dimensional turbidity currents.     Abstract
    Surgical simulation systems facilitate safe and efficient training processes of surgical trainees by providing a virtual environment in which the surgical procedure can be repeated unlimitedly in a wide variety of situations. The present study attempted to develop a real time simulation system for the grasping procedure of large internal organs during laparoscopic surgery. A mass-spring-damper model was developed to simulate the nonlinear viscoelastic large deformations of the spleen tissue while interacting with a triple-jaw grasper.     Abstract
    One of the most popular models that has been applied to predict the fluid velocity inside the fracture with impermeable walls is the cubic law. It highlights that the mean flux along the fracture is proportional to the cubic of fracture aperture. However, for a fractured porous medium, the normal and tangential interface conditions between the fracture and porous matrix can change the velocity profile inside the fracture. In this paper, a correction factor is introduced for flow equation along the fracture by imposing the continuity of normal and tangential components of velocity at the interface between the fracture and porous matrix.
