    Abstract
    To produce emotional artificial systems in AI domain, usually a subset of human emotional states are imported to the target domain and the major differences between natural and artificial domains are often ignored. In this paper we will discuss about why such an approach is not useful for all possible applications of emotions and we will show how it is necessary and possible to produce artificial emotion systems based on the target systems goals, abilities and needs

    Abstract
    To extend a procedure to ensure the safe operation of a water reactor, we develop a numerical method to compute the high frequency pressure spikes of water hammer with liquid column separation in pipes. In this regard, we first extend a finite-volume all-speed method to solve the full one-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. This method is capable of simulating gas and liquid phases as well as the vapor-liquid one. On the other hand, the current extended method should be capable of capturing high frequency pressure spikes, which are formed due to water hammer and column separation in pipes.     Abstract
    The relative velocity between ground surface and receiver platform leads to clutter expansion in the range-doppler surface. The expanded clutters can mask slow moving targets. The passive radar is a low cost and light weight radar with high detection ability, due to its multistatic geometry. In this paper, we employ the MISO passive radar with at least four transmitters of opportunity to constitute an over-determined system of equations. We propose an algorithm to localize moving targets in the presence of clutters. In the first step, the clutters are separated from moving targets and in the second one, the position and velocity of the target are computed by solving the system of equations....

    Abstract
    Fault tolerance is an essential requirement in systems running applications which need a technique to continue execution where some system components are subject to failure. In this paper, a fault tolerant task scheduling algorithm is proposed for mapping task graphs to heterogeneous processing nodes in cluster computing systems. The starting point of the algorithm is a DAG representing an application with information about the tasks. This information consists of the execution time of the tasks on the target system processors, communication times between the tasks having data dependencies, and the number of the processor failures (ε) which should be tolerated by the scheduling algorithm.     Abstract
    Distal locking is a challenging subtask of intramedullary nailing fracture fixation due to the nail deformation that makes the proximally mounted targeting systems ineffective. A patient specific finite element model was developed, based on the QCT data of a cadaveric femur, to predict the position of the distal hole of the nail postoperatively. The mechanical interactions of femur and nail (of two sizes) during nail insertion was simulated using ABAQUS in two steps of dynamic pushing and static equilibrium, for the intact and distally fractured bone.
