    Abstract
In this research work, graphene/cobalt nanocomposites are functionalized with polyethylene glycol (PEG) to be a platform for theranostics application and antibacterial activity. The non-covalent functionalization of PEG on the surfaces of nanocomposites improved their stability and diminished their cytotoxicity. The PEGylated nanocomposites are demonstrated to allow simultaneous administration of two cancer therapy methods such as magnetic fluids hyperthermia (MFH) which is carried out by converting magnetic energy into heat through ferromagnetic cobalt nanoparticles and heat generation through near-infrared optical absorption by the reduced graphene oxide. A concise simulation is carried...

    Abstract
A tri-layered nanofibrous hydrogel thin film with temperature sensitivity is introduced as a new controlled drug release system to treat breast cancer. A simultaneous heat generation with the tunable release of dual drugs is observed in response to visible light radiation. A tri-layered nanofibrous sheet was fabricated through sequential electrospinning the blends of Au@Chit@DOX-loaded poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N-methylol acrylamide) (poly (NIPAAm-co-NMA)) and Curcumin-loaded poly (vinyl alcohol) (Cu-loaded PVA), where the Cu-loaded PVA nanofibers (NFs) are sandwiched between two layers of Au@Chit@DOX-loaded poly (NIPAAm-co-NMA) NFs. After thermal crosslinking of the tri-layered...

Magnetic hyperthermia behaviour of Co and reduced GO nanocomposites

    Abstract
Co-precipitation of CoCl2.6H2O with graphene oxide (GO) and heating at 400°C for 4 h under hydrogen resulted in the construction of cobalt/ reduced GO (Co/rGO) nanocomposite utilisable in magnetic thermal therapy. Field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, thermogravimetric analysis/derivative thermogravimetry, and X-ray diffraction methods characterised the samples. Time-temperature curves of the samples containing 30, 50, 70, and 100 µg ml−1 Co/rGO nanoparticles (NPs) suspended in phosphate-buffered saline were determined at different specific heating rates. Magnetic-field response of...

    Abstract
Recent insights into the nanomedicine have revealed that nanoplatforms enhance the efficacy of carrier in therapeutic applications. Here, multifunctional nanoplatforms were utilized in miRNA-101 delivery and NIR thermal therapy to induce apoptosis in breast cancer cells. Au nanorods (NRs) or nanospheres (NSs) covered with graphene oxide (GO) were prepared and functionalized with polyethylene glycol as a stabilizer and poly-L-arginine (P-L-Arg) as a targeting agent. In nanoplatforms, coupling Au@GO prepared stable structures with higher NIR reactivity. P-L-Arg substantially enhanced the cellular uptake and gene retardation of stuffs coated by them. However, rod-shape nanoplatforms indicated...
