    Abstract
In the present study, a high-order compact finite-difference lattice Boltzmann method is applied for accurately computing 3-D incompressible flows in the generalized curvilinear coordinates to handle practical and realistic geometries with curved boundaries and nonuniform grids. The incompressible form of the 3-D nineteen discrete velocity lattice Boltzmann method is transformed into the generalized curvilinear coordinates. Herein, a fourth-order compact finite-difference scheme and a fourth-order Runge-Kutta scheme are used for the discretization of the spatial derivatives and the temporal term, respectively, in the resulting 3-D nineteen discrete velocity lattice Boltzmann equation to...

    Abstract
In the new generations of mobile communication systems, smart antennas are used to achieve higher capacities. Since these systems have the ability to form a radiation pattern where the desired signal is received with minimum distortion and inteferers are received with a significant attenuation therefore their application makes it possible to have a large signal to inteference ratio. In addition by setting the main beam direction towards the desired signal, it is conceivable to realize the the communication with a lower power. The optimal methods for angle-of-arrival estimation and beamforming in one and two dimensional structures has been studied in the literature, but the three dimensional...

Development of a 3D program for calculation of multigroup Dancoff factor based on Monte Carlo method in cylindrical geometry

    Abstract
Evaluation of multigroup constants in reactor calculations depends on several parameters, the Dancoff factor amid them is used for calculation of the resonance integral as well as flux depression in the resonance region in the heterogeneous systems. This paper focuses on the computer program (MCDAN-3D) developed for calculation of the multigroup black and gray Dancoff factor in three dimensional geometry based on Monte Carlo and escape probability methods. The developed program is capable to calculate the Dancoff factor for an arbitrary arrangement of fuel rods with different cylindrical fuel dimensions and control rods with various lengths inserted in the reactor core. The initiative...

Direction finding and beamforming using cylindrical array of dipole antennas in the presence of cylindrical scatterer/reflector including the mutual coupling effect

    Abstract
Three-dimensional dipole arrays are normally used at the proximity of a reflective structure. Filamentary short-circuited dipoles are proposed to model the effect of the reflector structure. The computational burden is significantly reduced by using mutual impedance matrices. An analytical method of modelling the effect of the cylindrical reflector in a three-dimensional cylindrical geometry of dipole antenna arrays is introduced both for direction finding and beamforming applications in the presence of mutual coupling. The results of the implementation of the MUSIC (multiple signal classification) direction-finding algorithm show that the proposed model for accounting the cylindrical...
