    Semantic web service composition testbed

    , Article Computers and Electrical Engineering ; Volume 36, Issue 5 , 2010 , Pages 805-817 ; 00457906 (ISSN) Hassas Yeganeh, S ; Habibi, J ; Rostami, H ; Abolhassani, H ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
A huge amount of web services are deployed on the Web, nowadays. These services can be used to fulfill online requests. Requests are getting more and more complicated over time. So, there exists a lot of frequent request that cannot be fulfilled using just one web service. For using web services, composing individual services to create the added-value composite web service to fulfill the user request is necessary in most cases. Web services can be composed manually but it is a too tedious and time consuming task. The ability of automatic web service composition to create a new composite web service is one of the key enabling features for the future for the semantic web. There are some...

AI planning search time and space reduction technique for the problem of web service composition

    , Article 2008 AAAI Workshop, Chicago, IL, 13 July 2008 through 14 July 2008 ; Volume WS-08-10 , 2008 , Pages 173-174 Rahmani, H ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
One of challenging problems in the domain of web services is the web service composition (i.e the task of composing web services to create new services, capable of fulfilling a need that no single service can satisfy). In real application, there will be a lot of relevant web services for a simple goal, so the search space for such a problem is huge. In this research statement, we show how by extracting some prior knowledge and using simple heuristics, search space and search time can be reduced significantly

Towards a goal-driven method for web service choreography validation

    Abstract
Nowadays web services composition that presents capabilities in response to customers' complex requirements has a special importance in real businesses. However, service choreography as a form of service composition, still faces many challenges. One of the most important challenges of the choreography domain is how to validate the model based on the corresponding requirements. To this end, in this paper processes choreographies are modeled using the interaction view of BPMN 2.0 standard. Then, goal modeling is suggested to extract the requirements. For each requirement all possible valid scenarios are considered and finally using Savara tool, the requirements' scenarios are modeled and the...

Application of social harmony search algorithm on composite web service selection based on quality attributes

    , Article Proceedings - 2012 6th International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing, ICGEC 2012 ; 2012 , Pages 526-529 ; 9780769547633 (ISBN) Esfahani, P. M ; Habibi, J ; Varaee, T ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
The harmony search algorithm is one of the latest meta-heuristic algorithms. It benefits from a number of distinguishing features such as a simple concept, few parameters and easy implementation. Combination of web services for inter-enterprise interactions and creation of a composite service which meets users requirements are novel subjects for researches on service oriented systems and process of selecting the best quality based combination is a debatable challenge at this field. In this study an efficient service selection mechanism based on the social harmony search algorithm is proposed to help clients select services with considering the quality attributes. In order to demonstrate the...
