Application of PSA Methods in the Reliability Analysis of EPSS of Busherhr NPP in case of Station Black Out

  8. LOOP accident is one of the most important accidents in NPPS and it leads to loss of power supply of the RCP pumps which are the main pumps of primary circuit. Subsequently trip of the rector occurs. In safety analysis, concerning worst conditions, assumes that after a small period of time, main generator of plant stops working and loss of AC power supply of all power plant loads including safety systems ocures. To control of this accident, it’s necessary to startup and load backup power supply system (EDGs) for at least one safety channels, if not, the accident moves forwards and becomes S.B.O accident which is more important accident that ends to core damage because of stops working of all residual heat removal systems, if the last backup diesel generator (Common station DG) fails to operate. The main aim of this thesis is assessment of reliability of emergency power supply system (EPSS) of BNPP during occurence of LOOP accident. PSA analysis with EPSS parts simulation is done with SAPHIRE code here. We calculate this for current and postulated design of BNPP considering backup lines for each emergency buses of EPSS with 3 and 6 MW power supply. The most outstanding results of this study are probability of loss of power of the main 10 KV buses of PSS (as a complement section of LOOP accident probability) equals to 9.368E-02, DGs unit failure probability equals to 3.579E-02, S.B.O accident probability equals to 3.353E-03 and loss of operation probability of various EPSS buses during of LOOP accident for one safety train
