  8. The existing statistical studies implies that in Iran like most of developing countries, the great percent of houses are traditional. Statistics of the most disastrous current quakes also show damages caused by masonry structures in developing countries. The main problem of brick and masonry structures especially the unreinforced one is their weak performance against quake. Different methods are use to analyse the seismic performance of this structures. The modern endurance time method is a kind of time history analysis using standard increasing accelerograms which examines different parameters of structure behavior during excitation actions. In this project we analyse these structures using ABAQUS program with endurance time method and compare this modern method with time history analysis of real earthquake records one to determine their advantages and disadvantages. The applied models are solid and hollow walls and simplified 3-dimensional structure.
To simulate the behavior of these structures, we make use of simplified micro modeling. We primarily study the verification of software modeling method through comparing the results with one of the standard articles. The next step after assuring the validity of modeling method and its appropriate function to estimate the results is the simulation and analysis of main models. In the main models, blocks arrangements and determination of strength and geometrical properties simulates the real country samples as much as possible.
These analysis include push over, modal, and time history ones which make use of seven real earthquake records and 3 endurance time functions ones.
Such parameters as base shear maximum acceleration and displacement of top of wall are compared as 7 real earthquake and 3 endurance time functions results. The comparison of these finding implies the proper evaluation of endurance time method in trems of models response
