  7. Abstract:
  8. To obtain solutions containing Titanium, leaching of Ilmenite Concentrate of Kahnooj and its Slag by Sulfuric Acid 98% in various Conditions are Studied. Screening tests by Fractional Factorial method were designed, at this step effects of Temperature, Acid Concentration, Particle Size, Solid to liquid Ratio, Time and Stirring Speed were investigated and It was Concluded that Temperature, Time, Acid Concentration and Particle Size were the effective Parameters in both leaching process of Ilmenite and Slag. The Temperature, Time and Acid concentration had positive effect, whereas the Particle Size had negative effect. After screening step, effective parameters were optimized by Rotatable Central Composite Design method. The optimized conditions for ilmenite leaching is: T=124.20C, time= 4.49hr, C=11.27mol/lit, P.S.=-1.05 In this conditions, the leaching recovery is 60.74%. The optimized conditions for slag leaching is: T=121.20C, time= 4.91hr, C=10.85mol/lit, P.S.=-1.51 In this conditions, the leaching recovery is 73.48%. In the next step, the leaching Kinetic of Ilmenite and Slag are investigated. The results of optimization step were used for designing of the Kinetic experiment. With attention to controlling mechanism of the other researches and the values of 41.25 Kj/mol for slag and 33.9 Kj/mol for ilmenite, the rate is controlled by a chemical Reaction in surface.
