  7. Abstract:
  8. In our previous work, we have been undertake complexion of new amino phenolic ligand with Fe(III) and Co(II) in order to synthesis LSCF - and LSF - type perovskite inorganic membranes. In this study, the interactions between Co(II) and Fe(III) cations and the mentioned ligands were investigated their by cyclic voltammetry technique. In aqueous solution, it was found that chelate ring size has more prominent effect on the ligand-metal interaction than the related amino acid substitution. Accordingly, the amino phenol substituted ligand prepared from beta alanine amino acid showed better interaction with Fe(III) than other ligands because of having six-membered chelate ring. Experimentally, for Fe(III) complexes, the following order of metal-ligand interaction was observed: Fe(R5)>Fe(R2)>Fe(R3)>Fe(R1). Furthermore, the existence of vacant site in Fe¬¬¬(III) complexes structure was investigated. Applying iodide, pyridine and pipyridine ligands and the existence of vacant site on the complex backbones was observed by electrochemical as well as spectroscopic methods. Afterward, the interaction of Co¬(II) cation with the mentioned ligands were also investigated in solution. The evide¬nce showed the following interaction order of Co¬(II) cation with these ligands as: R2>R1>R3 .These difference in the reactivity of Fe(III) and Co(II) complexes can be related to inertness and lability of Co(II) and Fe(III) cations
