Optimal Charge Scheduling of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles to Improve Distribution System Operatoion, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Fotuhi-Firuzabad, Mahmood (Supervisor)
Abstract
Despite the economic and environmental advantages of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), the increased utilization of PHEVs brings up new concerns for power distribution system operators and planners. Impacts of PHEVs on distribution network, although has been proven to be noticeable, has not been completely investigated for future years. Thus, it is necessary to study precisely PHEV impacts on residential distribution systems and then try to find a method to control PHEV charging in order to improve distribution system. In this thesis, a comprehensive model is proposed to study PHEV impacts on residential distribution systems for short and long-term simulations. To do this, at first...
