Abstract
Interest in lithium sources has been increasing because of wide applications of the metal in high-energystorage lithium batteries and its compounds in otherfields.Lithium appears in lake, brines and several minerals such as spodumene, petallite, and lepidolite. Several methods such as ion exchange (adsorption), solvent extraction, and coprecipitation have been investigated for the extraction of lithium from seawater, brine, and geothermal water.
