  7. Abstract:
  8. Composite systems consisting of concrete columns and steel beams are introduces as structural systems in recent years. These structural systems enjoy merits of both steel and concrete frames by efficiently combining the advantages of them. This study is allocated to lateral force resistance system using armed concrete and structural steel. Advantages of composite structures rather to those of two other conventional ones are among performance characteristics under ultimate loads, economical conservation, and higher speed of construction. In this research the aim is to study these frame under earthquake induced loads. The seismic performances of these composite frames with through column beams, used in this study, are affected by some different earthquake loads and the maximum of the effects are recorded to be used. To take the specific behaviors of the connection of these typed of frames into account, first the backbone curve of behavior produced by these connections are obtained by OpenSees software, and then it is introduced into the frames modeled by SAP to increase the accuracy of the modeling. Then, the behavior of these frames with and without taking the nonlinear behavior of the joints into account is compared to each other. The results showed a reduction in story shear and accordingly verified the advantages mentioned in the context
