- Abstract:
- gas adsorption in porous solids and adsorbent,is the important cases in gas processing industries. Including the removal of compounds such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans from sour gas in natural gas sweetening industry is of great importance. Also in solving the greenhouse phenomena extraction of gases such as methane and carbon dioxide of important environmental issues. To understand and predict the behavior of the absorption capacity of various adsorbents and thus the possibility of absorption systems, a mathematical model is needed.Library resources available in order to determine the kinetics and thermodynamic processes of gas adsorption on solid absorbents use monolayer models such as Langmuir, Freundlich Isotherm. The purpose of this thesis, modeling adsorption of gases on solid adsorbent using kinetic and equilibrium models based on multilayer adsorption mechanism and to compare the obtained results with the results of monlayer models. The proposed multilayer included BET, Zhu Isotherm.
The characteristics of the adsorption of gases on solid surfaces discussed and investigated. This characteristics including adsorption isotherms, kinetic constants of adsorption, absorption capacity is solid absorbents. To obtain the results use the genetic algorithms from MATLAB Programming. And then to compare these models and system errors and optimize absorption, including the absorption of methane at different temperatures. After review and gain parameters to the conclusion that sips and Zhu models is good accuracy - Keywords:
