Abstract
Several studies based on anti- cancer, anti- metastatic and anti- tumor effects of curcumin have been reported . Besides these benefits, the therapeutic efficacy of curcumin is limited due to its poor aqueous solubility, extensive first-pass metabolism, inadequate tissue absorption and degradation at alkaline pH, which severely diminishes its bioavailability.
