  7. Abstract:
  8. Numerous structures which are involved in seismic soil-pile-structure interaction have been destroyed. Considering complexities which exist in soil-pile interaction problems and lack of precise methods without imperfect bases, it is necessary to use numerical methods for analyzing soil-pile interaction problems. In this research, three-dimensional modeling and studying the effect of changing soil and pile parameters on the behavior of pile under earthquake loading is performed using finite difference software, FLAC3D. The soil in this model has a softening behavior. Real earthquake spectrum has been applied into the model as the acceleration time history at the bedrock level. The results of the model were compared with the results of experimental and numerical tests, carried out by practitioners and engineers before. Studying these results indicates a very good compatibility of response of the model and the experiments. After the model verification, the effects of some pile and soil parameters were discussed. The goal was to determine the effects of different factors in pile response qualitatively. In addition, the parametric study has been done on influence of the number and spacing of piles in the pile group. In the results section of this study bending moments, shear forces and deflections in the pile for all analyses were predicted
