Providing a methodology to codify regulations for private parking in tehran city

  5. One of the methods for providing private parking is to use the mechanized parking within neighborhoods or housing units that are common in today's world. But, unfortunately, due to lack of appropriate rules and technical, administrative and legal guidelines, this approach has not yet been used. Hence the necessity of investigating and formulating laws, programs and specific criteria for mechanized private parking in terms of legal, technical, traffic, urbanization aspects (location, neighborhood, architecture, building standards and national regulations, economic aspects, etc.) have been a motivation for conducting this study. In this research, after studying and investigating previous related research, basic perspective of research was formulated based on various aspects affected by and affecting the subject. In the following, using a questionnaire SWOT analysis table was prepared for providing purposes of the study and in the end, the overall program and strategic documents by providing parking in Tehran based on the proposed structure in different administrative parts were provided. The results of this research were formulation of specific laws, programs and regulations in the field of private parking, with the emphasis on mechanized parking in different urbanization (locating, neighborhood, architecture), legal (standards and regulations), economic and social aspects; that the most important result of it will be providing laws and regulations for preparing parking in the historical boundaries and eroded texture of Tehran city. The methodology proposed in this research has the ability to be generalized to other cities with similar conditions
