Abstract
Occurrence of natural disasters such as flood, windstorms, tsunamis and earthquakes has caused striking effects on critical infrastructures like power systems in recent decades. There are some examples of high-impact low-possibility (HILP) events which causes catastrophic effects on power systems. Traditionally, planning and operational studies of power system have been run taking into account some reliability metrics.
