  7. Abstract:
  8. Integrated modeling of learning makes happen simultaneous investigation and analysis of the interaction among different scales, abstraction levels and contexts within an organization. Enquiry of the organization, organizational unit and individual employee scales at levels of low and high abstraction within temporal, spatial and event-driven contexts may have conspicuous impact on perspicuousness of learning concept, as well as the creation of productive policy making opportunities which improves system performance measurements and their influencing causes. By development in multi-method approach to system modeling, integrated representation of learning has got recently feasible. Thus, a hybrid modular architecture for building an integrated simulation model of learning is presented which use either an agent-based (AB) or system dynamics (SD) model for each module correspondingly. Application of the proposed architecture is demonstrated through a case study at an Iranian service organization that is the leader of national market. Owing to an appropriate software package, simulation modules are combined with each other and simulated for a given time horizon. Dimensions of learning organization questionnaire (DLOQ) is utilized periodically to gather necessary data for simulation model parameters and also validation process. Simulation model and output behaviors is verified and validated using the common methods, specifically extreme conditions tests. Some sensitivity analysis and policy scenarios are planned and some organizational behavior knowledge is derived as the result. However, the proposed framework is a plain yet comprehensive platform which is ready to attract clear model building at a variety of organizational abstract concepts. Detailed case studies, investigation of “agent-based policy making” features at organizations and developing “multi-dimensional agents” are some of the main probable subjects of prospective researches on the spot
