  7. Abstract:
  8. Providing fresh water, ending fossil fuels, using renewable energy and achieving a clean biological environment in different parts of the world especially in Iran beside having access to many saline water sources, Shows the need for research in the field of solar still desalination. The goal of current study is to increase the performance of the solar still system through the use of an energy storage system and an additional condenser. Adding an additional condenser to a conventional solar still lead to an increase in the rate of evaporation and consequently increase the production of the system. Also, by collecting distilled water from the sidewalls, the amount of water produced increases. The presence of paraffin in the condenser chamber in sidewalls prevents the temperature of the sidewalls from rising at noon and increases the rate of distillation and consequently production. latent heat of the vapor stored in the phase change material in during a day.after sunset through the pulsating heat pipes that embedded in the phase change material reservoir transmits the stored heat during the day into saline water and causes the distillation process continues after sunset. The novel solar still has simulated, designed and constructed. The results of the experiments showed that the system efficiency was increased from 24% in the conventional system to 48%, when the device was equipped with an additional reservoir and condenser system. Also, the amount of water produced from 3.2 kilograms per square meter reached 6.22 kilograms per square meter. Equations of the system are written and the device is simulated in MATLAB. The error value for system simulation was 10.1%
