A New Approach Based on Mathematical Modelling and Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making for Supplier Selection in Green Supply Chain

  8. Recently, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the damage to the environment is very important. Due to the increasing environmental awareness of the people on the one hand, and government pressure to reduce damage to the environment on the other hand, has led organizations to pay more attention to this important issue. In addition, these organizations in order to participate in the global competition, should consider green criteria along with other criteria. Hence, the organizations to outsourcing part of their work are looking for Suppliers who along with other criteria also meet the criteria for being green. In this study, a new two-stage approach based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and mathematical programming is presented. In The first step of this approach, by use of decision support system based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, the initial evaluation for accreditation of suppliers is offered and suppliers who earn a minimum score will be entered into the second stage. The second stage uses a mathematical model to optimize the purchase of any supplier, the optimal route to communicate with each supplier and so on. Also To check the efficiency of the proposed approach, we implement it in the Pars pet Company, where the results indicate that the proposed approach is applied. One of the main advantages of this model is to reduce the time and cost of the process of evaluating and ranking because some suppliers are eliminated in the first stage of this approach. Another important advantage of this approach is that it is flexible and the integrity of the criteria and sub criteria can be developed in other areas as well
