- The history of an Episteme is part of that Episteme. Without understanding the history of Episteme, one cannot get the right understanding of the Episteme. In order to understand the current coordinates of philosophy in Iran (as well as understanding the current state of philosophy in Iran), it must examine the history of its emergence and development. Part of the sources of recognition of this history is the “Erlbnis” of those who lived the event. Those who have been trying for its birth and development. Some other sources in understanding this history are the previous published works in this area. Another is the educational effort and the establishment and development of the institutions of the philosophy of science. Based on these sources, it can be said that the philosophy of science first entered Iran in the pre-revolutionary period with its pragmatics in the broader epistemological fields. There was still no complete conception of this Episteme in Iran in this upheaval. According to the published works, the activists in this field did not have much news from the last academies of philosophy of science in the world. The logical positivism was the last academy of philosophy of science that had arrived in Iran at that time. But the philosophy of science in the sense of formal; and in the sense of knowledge of the academies of philosophy of science", born after the revolution. In 1980, with the lectures and articles of Dr. Abdolkarim Soroush, this distinguished Episteme was introduced to the scientific community of Iran. In the sixties, this lesson was presented at the University of Tehran. Then in the early seventies, the Department of Philosophy of Science was formed at the Institute for Cultural Studies and Research. However, before the revolution under the title Philosophy of Science or Methodology of Science or Philosophy and History of Science, lessons was presented at Sharif universities, Isfahan and Shiraz, and two other places; But all of them, ignorant of the academies of philosophy of science, were engaged in philosophical studies in science. But the philosophy of science was born for the first time, in the attempt of Dr. Mehdi Golshani in 1995, in the form of “institution”. The Department of Philosophy of Science at Sharif University of Technology was the first Department of Philosophy of Science in Iran. But now the Sharif University is not alone and other universities have turned to this discipline. The birth and development of this knowledge have coincided with political and social flows; so they are undoubtedly influenced by each other. Understanding the history of science philosophy in Iran is largely depend on the understanding of the network of these influences
