  8. Free economic zones in Iran have been established with the goal of developing infrastructure, improving living conditions, fostering economic growth, attracting capital and increasing income, productive job creation, regulating job and goods market, maintaining active presence in international and regional markets, manufacturing and exporting of goods and providing public services. Yet many free economic zones have fallen short of these goals. Considering the government's inability to fund the development of the free economic zones with its limited financial capacity and shortcomings in terms of management system, it is imperative to the development of these regions that private sector investors are attracted to free economic zones. Chabahar Free Zone (CFZ) is no exception.This study is focused on "Investor Experience", a construct proposed based on the concept of Customer Experience to reflect the "inner thoughts and feelings of investors regarding their investment and activity in a free economic zone". Hypotheses stating a strong relationship between Investor Experience and investor loyalty, WoM and satisfaction are formed, tested and proven to be true in the process of scale generation and validation. A multi-item scale to measure Investor Experience is generated and tested for reliability and validity in a 3-step process comprised of laddering interviews and exploratory studies, Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Composite Analysis performed on data gathered from investors present in CFZ. The validated scale is then utilized to measure current Investor Experience score with the results serving as a basis to formulate initiatives to improve Investor Experience and in turn investor loyalty, WoM, and satisfaction
