  7. Abstract:
  8. The consumption of plastics in the world is increasing and this is accompanied by the challenges of production from oil products and carbon footprint, waste production and environmental issues. The solutions to these challenges are material recycling and the production of biocompatible plastics. Polypropylene is a widely used polymer that is commonly used in conjunction with reinforcements such as fiberglass. Natural fibers can be substituted to increase the biocompatibility of the composite, which, despite its many advantages, presents challenges. The most important challenge is the poor adhesion of the fibers and the matrix due to the hydrophilicity of natural fibers and hydrophobicity of polypropylene. This has led to research to improve fiber adhesion, such as surface treatment of fibers and the use of compatibilizer. In this research, bagasse fibers have been used as a reinforcer. Because sugarcane is available in Iran and every year out of about 7.5 million tons of sugarcane production, 33% of bagasse is obtained, most of which is discarded and by using it the value of waste increases by some percent. In the first phase, the determination of the most optimal alkalization with the help of NaOH solution is investigated ATR-FTIR, XRD, SEM, light and stereo microscopy and hygrometry tests were performed and based on the results, concentration of 4%, temperature of 65 ° C and time of 75 minutes is the most optimal alkalization. This process increases fiber crystallinity by 10% and decreases moisture absorption by 48%. In the second phase, composites with 0-15%wt Fibers were produced together with MAPP compatibilizer and effect of that and fiber content were assessed by tensile, impact, DSC, SEM and TOM tests. Fiber with MAPP increases elastic modulus by 24% but yield strength decreased by 21%. The fibers also reduced the crystallinity of matrix by 5%. In the third phase, calcium carbonate particles were added to the composite of 10% fibers with the MAPP and the second phase tests were repeated. Images show appropriate dispersion of particles in the field. The presence of calcium carbonate increased the elastic modulus by 30% but yield strength decreased. It also increased matrix crystallinity by 23%
