  5. This paper presents a new algorithm based on integrating the use of genetic algorithms and simulated annealing methods to optimal allocation of distributed generation resources in distribution networks. Through this algorithm a significant improvement in the optimization goal is achieved. With a numerical example the superiority of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated in comparison with the simple genetic algorithm. © 2005 IEEE
