  7. Abstract:
  8. Liquid-liquid extraction is one of the common chemical processes in the industry which its application is increasing day by day. Taking trend of increase of energy resources, chemical materials and industrial system into account, the necessity use of least energy consumption and material for achieving highest output and purity of products in different industries is attracted researches and industerialists. In this research we have studied the effect of presence of nano particles on both disperses and continuous liquids phases on hydrodynamic of deoplets specially their investigated system in this project was watter, toluene and acetone, and chosen nanoparticles wer carbon nanotubes and TiO2. In each experiment the dispersive phase liquid after passing through a glass nuzzles was evacuated from the boyyom by a syringe pump with flow rate of 6.9 ml/minutes. The five nuzzles which were used in this work had diameters 1-3 mm with step of 0.5 mm. The kind of evacuation which was used was spray type having length of 50 cm. The concentration of nanoparticles used in this work were 0, 0.0025, 0.005, 0.0075, 0.01 for each nanoparticle. Our results indicate the nuzzle diameter and TiO2 concentration increases with increasing of diameters and terminal velocities of droplets. Alternatively with increase of carbon nanotubes concentration in the disperse phase causes reduction of terminal velocities and diameters of droplets. Dispite of existence of these effects, due to low concentration of nanoparticles effects on hydrodynamic parameters is negligible.
