  8. The arena of supercritical combustion involves a set of unique physical phenomena that are different from what is observed in the spraying and combustion of a subcritical regime. Understand the complex physics of the flow field in transcritical and supercritical operating conditions and discovery of factors affecting them and the extent to which each of these factors affects the structure of the jet and consequently the quality of the mixing and combustion process, is one of the basic steps to optimize of cryogenic liquid fuel engine combustion chamber design. In this thesis, by studying the experimental researches of injection at sub-critical to super-critical conditions, it has been tried to get a proper understanding of the unique phenomena of each of the operating conditions. Also, by using the existing simulation and further numerical studies conducted to identify the transcritical flow field of a real bi-swirl injector, the characteristics and structure of the flow field of this injector, emphasizing the role of vorticity budgets on the quality of the mixing process, it has been investigated in different areas of the flow field. Finally, by gaining proper knowledge of the phenomena and the supercritical flow field of different injectors, the characteristics of supercritical injection teststands in the world have been investigated. The importance of creating concrete experimental databases in order to advance the studies of injection and mixing of cryogenic fluids in transcritical and supercritical conditions in the country, has made the need for a laboratory complex in this field even more clear. In response to this need, in the current research, a detailed design of a comprehensive injection testestand has been discussed. In the following, with the feasibility studies and follow-ups, the process of building and setting up the systems of the country's first supercritical injection teststand has been carried out and its details have been explained. The current teststand includes three main systems, each of which consists of several subsystems. Together, these systems provide the possibility of operating and performing injection tests with different geometries of shear and swirl injectors in a relatively wide operating range
