  7. Abstract:
  8. The presence of electric vehicle (EV) parking in distribution or microgrids can become a challenging issue for the power grid. If parking operators charge EVs parked in their parking facilities without coordination with the distribution or microgrid operator, they can impose a heavy burden on the grid, resulting in increased costs and problems in the power network. This study aims to address energy management in EV parking facilities in the distribution network by proposing a two-level model. In this two-level model, the high-level problem is the distribution network, and the low-level problem is the parking facility. At the high-level, the distribution network operator tries to maximize their profits by interacting with the EV parking facility. Similarly, at the low-level, the parking operator tries to maximize his profits. Furthermore, uncertainties, such as the number of hours that EVs are present in the parking facility, the initial charge level of EVs upon entering the parking facility, and the amount of power generated by the photovoltaic unit owned by the parking facility, are taken into account in solving the problem using Monte Carlo simulation. Additionally, this study addresses the responsiveness of drivers to the vehicle-to-grid (V2G) service based on their social class. EV drivers can be divided into three different social classes according to their income level: low-income, middle-income, and high-income drivers. The sensitivity analysis is conducted on these three categories to determine the optimal percentage of incentive costs to encourage these drivers to participate in the V2G program. The payment of this optimal incentive cost by the parking facility owner to EV owners and encouraging them to participate in the V2G service can increase the parking facility's profits
