Abstract
In this research work, a new spinning disk reactor has been proposed and tested successfully for the synthesis of barium sulfate nanoparticles through the reactive precipitation. The proposed reactor consisted of a horizontal spinning disk with high rotation speeds (i.e., 6,000 to 15,000 rpm) that was located in a cylindrical chamber. The Barium sulfate reactive precipitation was used as a benchmark reaction to evaluate the performance of this reactor in the synthesis of nanoparticles.
