Abstract
Recently lithium iron silicate (Li2FeSiO4) has been used as a new cathode material for lithium ion battery. Li2FeSiO4 has such benefits like low raw material price so lower production cost, lower environmental pollution, higher safety, electro chemical and cyclic stability and high theoretical capacity of 166 mAh/g against other cathode materials like LiMn2O4, LiBNiO2, LiCoO2 and LiFePO4.
