  7. Abstract:
  8. In this study, high frequency vibration analysis of two connected plates by a beam interface is carried out using Energy Finite Element Analysis (EFEA). In structural vibration analysis at low frequencies, classical methods such as Finite Element Method or Boundary Element Method present accurate results. But, using these methods at high frequencies requires expense of high calculation cost and time. Therefore, using of statistical methods that are based on average estimates of vibrations, at high frequencies is most popular. EFEA is a method that gives average response of structure at a certain point and frequency band. This method is developed on the basis of finite element analysis of energy flow equation in the structure. The principal parameters in this method are energy density and energy flow (intensity). In this study, at first the basis of extraction of energy flow relation in structure and its analysis using finite element method is presented. Then, the coupling relations in structural joints are investigated and their coefficients are calculated. Next, EFEA Analysis of different structures such as rods, beams, plates and stiffened plates are validated using results of finite element models. Finally, energy density of two connected plates by a beam interface is calculated and its results are validated with finite element analysis and experimental tests. In order to calculation of energy density from experimental test datas, a new relation is developed. The results of this study show that the EFEA results have good agreement at high frequencies with finite element method and experimental tests results. So, this method can be used as an applicable tool at high frequency vibrations analysis
