  7. Abstract:
  8. The combination of photovoltaic technology and Organic Rankine Cycle reduces the temperature of the solar panel and, on the other hand, generates separate electricity from excess heat. The reason for the use of the Organic Rankine Cycle is the low temperature of the heat source. It is not economical to use other cycles like steam Rankine cycle in low-temperature heat sources. To maximize the plant factor of the Organic Rankine cycle system, especially when there is not enough solar radiation, it is possible to utilize the flue gas heat recovery in office buildings and reduce the cost of electricity generation. In this project, the simulation of this system is carried out for the Energy Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology, and the results indicate that the annual electrical energy is increased by 45.7% using the thermal recovery compared to the non-recovering heat of the flue gas. The levelized cost of electricity varies from 0.068$ to 0.085$ per kilowatt-hour for different prices for the organic Rankine cycle, which represents a 29.9 to 30.32 percent decrease from the previous system. The Payback period varies from 4 to 5.3 years, which is also 36.5% to 39.22% lower than the previous one
