  8. In cloud computing services, high availability is one of the most quality requirements that it is necessary to maintain customer confidence. This requires various fault tolerance mechanisms for coping with software and hardware failures.In this thesis, after reviewing previous research, eight different scenarios was designed for availability evaluation of redundant openstack private clouds, represented by RBDs and Markov chains, hierarchically assembled.Based on the availability and downtime results obtained from the scenarios and cost consideration of company, best architecture for openstack is implemented.For real world modeling, we tried to collect and analyze the hardware and software failure rates of the openstack components by setting up an openstack cloud environment within redundancy techniques, and then these values were assigned to models. One of the scenario is achieved 99.97 percent in availability and 2 hours per year downtime. This aim has expensive cost for hardware base including purchase servers and network equipment. On the other hands, there is not guaranty to pay loss. In the other method, availability achieves 97 percent and 9 hours per year downtime which might be sufficient for some company or organization, if they will pay less cost hardware equipment.
